The panoramic views of Limerstone Down and glimpses of the chalk cliffs beyond Freshwater Bay make a stunning backdrop.
Thorncross Lake is a challenging water that is best suited to the more experienced angler. It has a surface area of 2.5 acres with a maximum depth of 4.5 metres.
Open seasonally April to November from dawn until dusk. The lake is currently stocked with carp (to 23lbs) rudd and roach.

There is portaloo on site to serve basic toilet facilities.
As with all fisheries, the health and well being of the fish stock is our priority and we expect all anglers to fully comply with the fishery rules displayed at the entrance.The most important of these are:-
Angling is now by appointment only with 24 hours prior notice required
Day tickets cost £15 per angler per day can then be purchased on the bankside.
The fishery is open from April to the end of September but may occasionally close due to spawning or essential maintenance during the season.
